{DTA, Entry I} First impressions

Click to zoom in for the real quality~ I finally got the time to post some art of this beauty. When I found out there was a FoxFan DTA I couldn’t help myself. Especially with this one <3 I really like his design and natural coloring, with a little bonus I’m a sucker for blue fire. But like always my rpg feels started to take over and I made a little character sheet for him. Sorry if the spelling or grammar isn’t correct, this isn’t my first language :’3

Name: Viðarr { Vidarr and Vitharr are the simplified versions.
Name orgin: In the Norse mythology Vidarr is the son of Odin and the one to avenge his father’s death. He’s the god of the forest, revenge and silence.
Alias: April Showers

Species: FoxFan

Likes: Weather changes, traveling, exploring, being alone, wisps, stones, collecting, showing he’s strong, tricking others, being listened to, teaching.
Dislikes: Ironically heavy weather, being underestimated, almost everyone, not being able to help, getting stuck or lost, loud noises, busy places. 
Viðarr is on first sight not that different then most of his kind. He’s a little smaller then average, with a build that resembles that of a fennec. He further has an almost golden coat with brown and dark grey accents. His fur is detailed with some spots, who mostly stay on his back and chest. The grey comes out a little more on his muzzle, socks and fan. The fan itself has a dark base with some stripes and studs. The wooden base that keeps the thing up is in the beginning open, but later painted with a design of storm clouds. Everything his held together by a piece of rope, that has a loose ribbon falling down his sight. The same rope is used for his necklace, that mostly hangs a little loose around his neck, with a blue stone pendant on the end. When it’s needed the rope can be worn as a tight color, but Viðarr likes the loose way more. One thing that isn’t like they should be are his eyes. They are almost always opened, which normally wouldn’t be done. But as the male fox is blind, there is no need to keep them close. His eyes are a pale blue, and the pupils seems to have a misty glaze on it. As he’s blind from the moment his coin turned, he doesn’t know any better then this. There is only one thing he hates about this problem. Other fans often think he can’t do anything on his own, they underestimate him easier because of this. And Viðarr hates it and likes to be in charge of his own life. When others try to lend a paw or think he can’t do it, you mostly get a growl back and a very stubborn fox against you. Luckily he has enough to find his way around with just his hearing. Only on crowded places he’s left lost, which is one of the many reasons he doesn’t enjoy the company of others. When he does get in a situation he needs to be social, the desert animal will sit it out in a corner, and being very clear he isn’t there voluntarily. But from time to time he can enjoy a single FoxFan for a small conversation, and even more as just a silent companion. He might even react if you’re lucky. Even then he’s quite hard in his ways, with a sarcastic way of going around. He also likes to pull tricks on you and be just one step ahead. But what could you expect when you’re company is mostly some wisps? About those little blue flames that follow him. He has three of them, and he’s never found without. They share the same color as his sightless eyes and vary from size. These wisps are his way of traveling. Without them he would be lost to go anywhere. Because they are for more then just some dramatic lighting if you need it. They are called “Will of the wisps” for a reason. It’s just a bad deal between the four of them. The wisps lead him the way and let him know when there is danger around or something so look at. But like they are known to do, the flames likes to trick people and lead them in the wrong direction. So while they mostly help Viðarr in his daily things, it isn’t unusually to find the poor fox lost in the grass or falling of some hills because his navigation tricked him. Which is the reason he tries to outsmart them, and tries this little hobby with others of his kind. The blue fires can hide in his eyes, his fan and his necklace when needed. When they are in one of these things they get a soft glow around them. Even though they aren’t easy to live with, Viðarr has a interest in wisps. As he’s alone most of the time, he has the bad habit to talk in himself and to the flames. They are one way conversations.. But does explain his dislike to social interaction, but his grumpiness mostly helps with keeping that away. Even though you hardly ever see it, he does care about some others, and would do everything to protect the ones he loves and blames himself when something happens to them.

Trivia:
- Viðarr does his name honor and likes to stay silent most of the time, but listens to everything around. Thanks to this he collects a lot of information, which is a nice way to get what he wants.  
- His build resembles that of a fennec fox, so he had an agile build with a small pointy snout and larger ears.
- His eyes are blue but have a foggy look on them because of his blindness.
- He likes to keep his fan closed most of the time, mostly for the reason it gets stuck on branches easily when he is walking around.
- But when he’s worked up about something, proving he’s right or just being stubborn he will unfold his fan to look bigger and more intimidating.
- Viðarr has the bad habbit to mutter in himself or to the wisps, but he claimes it helps him think.
- He really likes climbing and the feeling of being in a heigh place. Unfortunately it ends with a big fall of some rocks or out of a bush. 
- The pendant on his necklace is made from Labradorite stone. With the right light angle it will be a deep blue. In the dark it will just look like a normal grey/green rock.
